Bellaire Tutors offers competitive rates for the best tutors in the Houston area. All our tutors during the normal school year are Rice educated, and you can choose to meet them on the Rice Campus, at a mutually convenient location, or in the privacy of your own home.
Payment options
All sessions are prepaid only, and you have the option to pay for as little or many sessions as you wish. For the most expedited and secure transactions, Bellaire Tutors recomments paying with credit card or PayPal on this page. If you would like to pay by checks instead, please make them payable to "Bellaire Tutors" and mail to:

Rates and packages
Our rates are based on location and number of students. Discount packages never expire, allow for uninterrupted tutoring, and unused hours are refundable*. Off campus tutoring, in the comforts of your home or at a mutually convenient location, is at a slightly higher rate to compensate our tutors for traveling time and cost.
One-on-one tutoring
On Rice University Campus
- Standard hourly rate: $35
- 5 hours: $160 ($15 off)
- 10 hours: $310 ($40 off)

- Standard hourly rate: $45
- 5 hours: $210 ($15 off)

Group tutoring (2 students)
On Rice University Campus
- Standard hourly rate: $50
- 5 hours: $235 ($15 off)
- 10 hour: $460 ($40 off)
- 20 hour: $900 ($100 off)
Off Campus
- Standard hourly rate: $60
- 5 hours: $285 ($15 off)
- 10 hours: $560 ($40 off)
- 20 hours: $1100 ($100 off)
*Refund policy
Prepaid sessions may be refunded as long as the cancellations are notified to the tutor 24 hours before the scheduled tutoring session. Unused sessions can also be refunded in full within a year of the purchase date. Please note that for refunds on packages, the refundable amount is the difference between the package price and used hours at standard rates.
For example, consider an on-campus, one-on-one 10 hour package priced at $310. If seven hours are used, the refundable amount is the difference between the package price and the seven hours at the standard rate of $35:
